Piet Oudolf and the Highline ( A Precedent)

1 comment:

  1. Piet Oudolf is a garden and Landscape designer considered one of the leading figures of the 'New Perennial Movement'. He is famous for using perennials and notably grasses to create year round interest. One of the key aspirations of the Highline was to re-establish the type of colonising plants which had originally taken hold of the disused railway line in West Manhattan. This had provided a wildlife haven to a built up area of the city. The creation of the highline has provided this area of the city
a green retreat from urban life and has established a permanent green space from land which had a pre-existing use.
